I visited Alaska and Canada in September 2007. These pictures were taken on a new digital camera I purchased just before my trip. With little time to get to know how to use it, visual opportunities were being missed. So I left it (red faced), on Auto! Canada, is a photographers delight, always on show and never hard to take a great shot so my camera was very forgiving and saved me some wonderful memories. I admit, I have no formal training but love photography. Composition is my strength, technical my weakness. I would love to learn more.

I hope to deepen my understanding of human experience and to gain a better understanding of others by walking in their shoes for a while. I have traveled to many places over the years and consider every experience will teach me something about the wider world and my place in it. Through photography, I hope to share a little of this experience and beauty with others.
