This journal is about two, thirty-something, tea drinking, armchair activists with a shared interest in natural building, who have decided that now is actually a pretty good time to get up and do something! We’ve quit our jobs, packed our bags and flown to Central America. Over the next 12 months we’ll be volunteering and travelling from Panama to the West Coast of the United States.

Having become rather cynical and depressed about the state of the environment we’re here to see how other people are living within environmental limits. That involves learning Spanish and slowing down enough to ‘be’ part of the communities we visit. We want to be inspired, learn new skills, get fit (!), and help to make a difference.
