For some, work is more than staying in front of a computer and at a desk for 8 hours; it is a ritual, which has been inherited from father to father, which has been passed from generation to generation since unknown times and which does not fade in the modern times which unfortunately tend to erase identity and achieve global values and ideals.

Every strand of sand bears more history than we could imagine. Every heartbeat can be perceived better here: it’s just you, endless dunes, your camel and the starlit sky as your guide. Common aspects of everyday life become reason of celebration here: meeting a person after walking for days in the unforgiving sun, surrounded only by sand and occasional palm trees; finding water, without which your journey would be compromised in just a few hours; and the relation between you and nature, best represented by your loyal companion, a camel, which would bear you for kilometres of adventure, unknown and challenges.

For some, time seems to have stopped in place; although surrounded by modern aspects, their lifestyle, their habits and their daily life is the same as that of those generations before. The daily mint tea and bread, the processes through which every piece of skin has to go through to become the leather that will keep someone warm later on and the thought that his work is more than just physical labour: it represents his culture, his nation.
