Men’s relation with nature can take bizarre ways; some might be afraid of the smallest and harmless creature, whereas other might choose to live away from the hustle and bustle of overcrowded cities and try to understand the way of being and thinking of his ancestors, restoring the broken link that evolution has destroyed in the human’s seek for domination.

For some, time seems to have stopped in place; although surrounded by modern aspects, their lifestyle, their habits and their daily life is the same as that of those generations before. The daily mint tea and bread, the processes through which every piece of skin has to go through to become the leather that will keep someone warm later on and the thought that his work is more than just physical labour: it represents his culture, his nation.

The dunes hide more than sand; they bear civilisations and cultures untouched by the modern times, witnesses of the passing of centuries, of caravans, kingdoms and generations of humans. They remain proof of how fragile people actually are in front of nature and seem to develop a different understanding of the passing of time.
