Sorry - a few technical questions...
What are you using for the wet sterilisation of instruments?
How are you sterilising the plastic drape? Just with alcohol?
Is that paper in the foreground just the glove pack?
How long are you holding?
Are you getting any complications or generally are they going well....?

Not a perfect system yet....using iodine solution for wet sterilisation of instruments. Plastic drapes sprayed with alcohol. The paper in the foreground is the sterile paper from the surgical gloves - we use it as a sterile area to put swabs & suture material on. Check out the coffee coloured (slightly burnt)swabs which were sterilised in the oven. Trying to get a steriliser here has been a real pain. A steriliser has been purchased in the USA & we were hoping it would be here on the weekend...but no we won't get it for another month! Nothing happens quickly in Peru. Have found a pressure cooker for 262 soles (US $85) so will get that for the interim period.
All dogs get a long acting antibiotic injection, & no we haven't had any complications or infections. The dogs are held overnight & released the following day. I am getting to know a lot of the street dogs so I try to keep track of how they are going.
