McDonalds...the german way

GERMANY | Wednesday, 11 January 2006 | Views [521]

I thought this deserved an article of its own. Mcdonalds here is very very weired. While i appreciate cultural differences eg. the ribburger they have here. I must admit i was a touch suprised when i saw beer on the menu. Family restaurant indeed! And the guy who seemed to be a toilet attendant (this is a maccas, not the ritz). Of particular disappointment though was the breakfast menu: no sausage muffins or hashbrowns, or more importantly no hotcakes. A mc chicken meal is called a mc chicken maxi menu (and the bun is a long roll). they offer you free tomato sauce or mayonaise with your chips (who eats mayo on chips???)

All in all very strange. Who said mcdonalds cannot be a cultural experience?

I'll have a big mac maxi menu with a beer please
