a little test run

okay, let's try this...
mmm...i just set this travel journal for my upcoming trip, i hope i'll be diligent in writing about it and posting pictures. oh yeah i'll take lots of pictures for sure but just the posting part, might get tricky since i don't know how easy internet access will be, especially during the first 6 weeks in Guatemala by myself.  here's my itin for now:
Mar 14 (Sat) - Depart for Guatemala City, Guatemala (GUA)
Mar 15 (Sun) - Arrive in GUA then onward to Xela for Language School with Volunteer programs at Pop-Wuj (www.pop-wuj.org)
Mar 16 (Mon) thru April 5 (Sun) -  3 weeks at Pop-Wuj
April 6 (Mon) - Arrive in Flores for Volunteer Peten (www.volunteerpeten.com)
April 7 (Tue) thru April 20 (Mon) - 2 weeks at Volunteer Peten
April 22 (Fri) - Arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO)
April 25 (Sat) thru May 2 (Sat) - 1 week at Shaka Surf Camp

May 3 (Sun) - back to San Jose
May 4 (Mon) - Flight to Quito, Equador (UIO)
May 5 (Tue) thru May 12 (Tue) - Galapagos Islands cruise on Nina (www.haugancruises.com/nina/galapagos-cruise/index.html)
May 13 (Wed) thru May 14 (Thur) - Stay on San Cristobal Island for extra Scuba Diving/Snorkeling
May 15 (Fri) - Fly back to Quito
May 15 (Sat) - Quito
May 17 (Sun) - Fly to Lima, Peru (LIM)
May 18 (Mon) - Lima
May 19 (Tue) - 15 day tour "Viva El Peru" with SAS Travel starts (www.sastravelperu.com/english/longprograms.html)
June 2 (Tue) - 15 day tour ends in Lima again
June 3 thru June 4 - float time in Lima
June 4 - Fly back to San Jose, Costa Rica
June 4 thru June 11 - somewhere in Costa Rica, still researching
June 12 thru June 19 - volunteer at COTERC.org for sea turtle monitoring etc
June 20 - Fly back to SFO
Today I purchased my travel insurance through World Nomads for $200. Not bad la.  Next I need to get the shots.  I need to do my taxes too!!  Also I found some free websites teaching spanish so I'll do that for a while.  I just realize I do like learning new language and I haven't done that since Japanese in college!
Okay this is only a test run...
