Maison Alphonse-Desjardins, the house of Alphonse Desjardins. He was the founder of caisse populaire, a co-operative savings and loan company that encouraged the working class of the 1900s to save and plan for the future. Apparently up to this day, every Quebecian has a savings account with this bank.
