For those that know me, know that I do dabble in poetry whenever I feel inspired. In memory of Valentines Day, which was yesterday, I will show you a poem that I wrote about three years ago. I did get this poem published in a journal. Not bragging or anything, haha, but I thought since it was fitting for the occasion that I would post some of my poetry in the next while. Don't be afraid to leave a comment on any post. Interested in who has read my blog, or any constructive feedback would be great too. Here goes nothing;

Heart in Bloom

Waking from a dark dormant sleep

through a cold winter's scene

Breaking through the earth's crust

frozen from time

A bud appears

gradually unfolding

opening one layer at a time

Slowly but surely

with time and attention

the bud blooms to full growth

Dawning on a spectacular spring day
