Long weekend

September 6, 7, 8, 9(Long weekend)

We all took the day off because the group had just left. We all went down to the river to swim,  it was pretty rapid but not bad to swim in. On the way back everyone who had flip flops on had to walk barefoot through the forest. That was Joey.

Tom arrived from Rhode Island. He will be staying the whole three months with us, very chill guy, bartender. We redid the cob bench at the bus stop/ new phone area, which involved Joey and Mat playing with poo. Cow manure and flour paste( which I made) combine to make poo glue. Later that night we took Tom over to the Cantina for his first adventure into town( across the street). Junior, a local that works at the ranch, taught Sinead how to Meringue dance.

We continued our beer making in Costa Rica by making a non-alcoholic ginger beer. Another bar experience, joey’s Costa Rican name is now Cheape.

Movie day! We turned the back dining room into a movie theater with a projector. We watched I heart Hucklebees and The Incredibles. It was raining so hard that we missed half of the second movie because we could not hear. I also made an amazing carrot coffee cake for Brunch, bringing back the recipe. We have been eating really really well.
