Adventures in Flying by the Seat of my Pants Conquering Aotearoa One Day at a Time

I have giant sunglasses and I'm not afraid to use them

Since I technically did something yesterday, I spent today doing absolutely nothing but go to the beach and read my Lonely Planet - New Zealand.

Sunscreen? Check. Towel? Check. Sunburn? Check. Despite the two layers of SPF50 sunscreen applied to every part of my body, even places that were covered by my swimsuit, I still managed to get burnt again.

I leave tomorrow for New Zealand and start a whole new, slightly colder part of my trip.

I've also been thinking about the nature of this blog; am I updating everyone on my whereabouts so no one worries and I don't have to repeat myself a million times? Am I maintaining a journal and pouring out all the thoughts I have on my trek? No, that doesn't sound like a good idea, what with the reservations I have about sharing on the internet. I suppose I'll just keep everyone posted and have a central location for my photos.
