This chance to go on assignment with renowned wildlife photographer Jason Edward would be great for me not only as an invaluable learning opportunity, but also as unforgettable experience what’s like to be a travel photographer. It would be an impressive experience for me to go to wild South Africa and get to know how it is to be photographer on assignment with National Geographic, sounds like the most amazing adventure in my life.
For me, photography is a way of trying to make sense of the very interesting world that I see around me–with different kind of people, cultures and traditions, beauty and ugliness. Through my adventurous journeys to different kind of places I’m getting to know this world better.I love to meeting people and see various places as much as capturing those special moments.
I have always believed that if I can capture something special or unique in my imagery, then I will hopefully be able to use it to influence people about the important issues I am so passionate about. The story, which I’ve submitted to worldnomads.com, is called ”Rural Living”.My purpose in creating these images was to show the effect of economical crisis in rural parts of Latvia and living conditions of particular group-pensioners.
Now I am studying Photojournalism in London Collage of Communication (Online). My personal goal is to become a professional photographer and work internationally as travel photojournalist. This incredible chance to photograph in Kruger National Park and explore the attractions of Cape Town would be a good start to my photographer career. I believe that this opportunity going to give me competence to work deeper with travel photography and gain further practical photography knowledge.I am absolutely excited to learn from such an experienced mentor.
