Bill's Big Trip "Imagine there's no countries, it isn't hard to do, nothing to kill or die for. Imagine all the people living life in peace. Imagine all the people sharing all the world. I hope someday you'll join us and the world will live as one." John Lennon

Buenos Aires Argentina

ARGENTINA | Thursday, 17 July 2014 | Views [473]

Buenos Aires is a big city. Some say there are 13 million people in the area. As you walk the streets, every few seconds you hear someone saying cambio, cambio, cambio. it's a black market money exchange. In retrospect maybe I should've taken advantage of it. When I left Argentina had about 25 or $30 worth of Argentine pesos. No one at the Rome or Athens airport money exchanges wanted anything to do with the Argentine peso. I guess I'll have to get back to Argentina sometime. Anyhow was able to find a hostel on a pedestrian street. Big place. I had a choice of sharing a room with seven other people or having a room to myself. Maybe age or having a couple more dollars than I had at 20, I opted for the private room. No tv, that's ok. Did the usual tourist stuff. See pictures, maybe not. Having trouble downloading due to questionable wifi.

About lipowcan8

A quick recap. I visited 19 countries in 212 days, traveled 46,000 miles by air,15,000 miles by land and spent about $25,000. My feet got beat up a few times and I twisted my ankle a couple of times. No plane, train, car, bus, tuk tuk or taxi mishaps, not even a fender bender. I wasn't threatened or harassed and amazingly enough I didn't lose anything. It's hard to believe seven months have passed. As I said in my first entry.....a wonderful way to celebrate 60 years of living. It sure was!
