Where in the world is Lani?

Last day in Porto Alegre

Well, I know I say this every time but - I am really sad to be leaving such a wonderful place as Porto Alegre! With wonderful friends here (old and new), some fantastic sights, great restaurants/pubs/bars, live music and drama and some spectacular art - this is a place I will definitely return to!

A large reason as to why I have had such a great week here has been the complete hospitality of my grand amiga Caina and her wonderful partner Luciano - who have shown me this city from the eyes of a locals!

From wandering the supermarket, to checking out the best local coffee shops, to driving the streets at night on the back of Luciano´s motorcycle, to seeing Luciano perform live childrens theatre in the park and eating at the BEST restaurants in town - I have had the complete experience of a Braziliana during my stay here.

I will miss Caina and Luciano sooooo much, but hopefully we will rendezvous in Italy during September this year for more good times!

Porto Alegre is a wonderful city & I only feel like I have seen 1% of what it has to offer - it has all been fun, beautiful and whet my appetitie to return soon to keep exploring!

Until then, bring on Sao Paulo & Rio!

Yours on a bus to my next destination,

Lani
