Days 48 - 55 - In the Galapagos Islands

Imagine walking on islands that have never been inhabitied. Each step you take may be treading on the ground never walked on by another.

Imagine swimming & snorkelling for hours in bright blue water with floating sea turtles, curious sea lions, myriads of tropical fish glowing in the sun, sparkling coral, (friendly!) sharks out and about, gliding sting-rays and the cutest penguins you will ever see!

Imagine staring into the eyes of the blue footed boobie, watching land turtles in their natural environment, dodging sea lions who just want to play, discovering secret nests belonging to birds only found in this part of the world & being nose to nose with spiky iguanas.

Imagine walking deep into the earth following a lava tunnel 1km into the earth in the pitch black with only crouching space. All you can do is flash your torch and hope for the best.....

Imagine cruising open water, island hopping and only travelling by dingy boats to uninhabitied islands that are unspoiled and better than you see on postcards.

Imagine hiking until your legs fall off - only to see at the summit a volcano surround that looks like the face of Mars with giant lakes that stretch for ever and ever.

Then multiply that by a billion and you will know what an absolute extraordinary time I had cruising the Galapagos Islands for the past 8 days. Incredible doesnt even begin to describe this most wonderful adventure. More to follow....
