Arghhhhhh!
Spent most of the day absorbing the cultural side of the town…..eating, shopping and buying chocolate. Bariloche is the capital of chocolate in Argentina. The Chocolaterias all have their own appeal and stand out with their immaculately adorned shop windows and distinct colours…..each shop has it’s own colour. I bought some from the best chocolate shop in town, Mamuschka. The place is so popular that you have to take a ticket and your turn to place an order….a bit like the cheese counter at Tescos. I had eight pieces and ate them pretty much one after the other as they were so good….felt a bit sick after though
Met up with Jaime and Carol (who I met in Pucon, Chile) for dinner at El Boliche de Alberto…..the same place as I ate the night before. I had explained previously but it's a steakhouse in the truest sense of the word. Apparantly one of the best in Argentina. The menu consists of different kinds of cuts of meat….and all flame grilled. Tonight I opted for the Fat Boy 350g Bife de Lomo (fillet)…..Dr Atkins would have been proud…God Bless him. The place is inexpensive too, with fries, salad (just to be on the healthy side), and wine; the bill came to about £10 each. On the way home I opted out of getting more chocolate from one of the many late night Chocolaterias.
Hey JPBlown away by all your photos - looks like you're having some amazing experiences! Have fun - love from the Evans clan
