Volcano Villarica
Finally got to Pucón after the 11 hour bus trip. Spent the rest of the day looking around the town and relaxing in the beautiful gardens of the Hostel Donde German. Pucón is a small touristy town in the middle of the southern lake district of Chile. It is located on the shores of a lake and is surrounded by mountains, and the most spectacular site is snow capped Volcan Villarrica, which looms majestically over the town. Although very touristy….huge traffic jams going into the town……it has a really familiar feel to it…somewhat similar to the Alps in the summer, not sure how to describe it but I guess it has something to do with the fresh mountain air, lakes and mountains
