Dusky Dolphins at Kiakoura
A long drive up the east coast to Kiakoura. Booked into the Dusky Lodge which has decks (pronounce “dicks” in Kiwi) with great views of the mountains at the back. I met a couple of people from another hostel earlier this afternoon. Ned who I’d seen in Christchurch, and Sonja….who is nearly the same age as me! Yay!…as again I’ve found myself being the oldest in the hostels and it’s refreshing finding someone who is at least thirty. A great night in the Strawberry Tree. Tomorrow swimming with dolphins
