To avoid any possibility of missing my flight I was up at 6am to depart KL and make my way to the airport for 9:45 flight!
Finally got to Bali and headed for Seminyak (the flights to Lombok were full). I hadn’t really appreciated how busy Bali would be, and all the guesthouses and hotels were fully booked. At this point I wasn’t in a particularly great mood, and to be honest I’ve felt better. After the journey here, the last thing I wanted to do was wander the streets of Seminyak in the heat trying to find somewhere to stay. However, I did find somewhere although it was only for one night.
I wasn’t particularly impressed with the area or maybe it was just me. I had a walk along the beach which would have been great if it wasn’t for the huge amount of litter. It later started to pour with rain, it was then I booked myself a speedboat to Gili Trawangan, an island off Lombok for the following morning.
