Same time next year then! We head for the pub to end Christmas Day with more festive cheer
Matt and Aly had kindly invited me for Christmas Day at theirs, together with Simon, Cindy and Annabelle and a few others. It was really nice to be with friends on Christmas Day. Aly (well…. the maids) had prepared a fantastic feast. There was champagne, wine and a never ending supply of food. I don’t think I’ve eaten so well in long time and being able to eat outside was great.
We had Secret Santa….and knowing I’m limited on space; a voucher to spend in a local department store was perfect.
After everyone had gone, Matt, Simon and I popped down the local for a few beers before I caught a cab back to my hostel. Once back at the hostel and not wanting the festive spirit to end, I met up with some other backpackers in Little India for a few drinks.
Memorable Points. Having a little piece of England 000’s of miles away. Being with friends. Missing those loved ones back home.
