After saying goodbye to Lisa (our travelling companion since the Southern Laos), Tim and I took the seven hour bus trip to Siem Reap.
First impressions of Siem Reap projected the characteristics of a tourist fuelled town, which is of no surprise considering every tourist is here for Temples of Angkor (the largest collection of temples in the world – one of the Wonders of the World, but not one of the original seven...apparently)
Checked into a more expensive hotel than what we’d been used to, it even has a pool, hot shower and cable TV!!!
