My Travels

This is a day by day journal, so in the future I can look back and reflect on my experiences and those I have shared them with.

Sen Monorom – Phnom Penh (Capital of Cambodia)

CAMBODIA | Wednesday, 10 December 2008 | Views [130]

Hours of travelling in a mini bus to Phnom Penh took up most of the day today.

Once in Phmon Penh, we checked into The Green Lakes Hostel in the Lakeside area of the city.  Strangely enough the hostel is located by a lake, in the backpacking area of the city!  The guesthouse has a sundeck overlooking the lake, and has a great view of the sunset.  The accommodation was basic, but in a good location.  Although, Tim and I did have to share our room with a rat who decided join us in the early hours.

This evening we headed out to a few bars, and met up with a bunch of people.  Had a great night and ended up in a local Kymer night club.  I’m thinking I like this place already!
