Vang Vieng - Vientaine

Chilled out in the morning with Ben and Tim watching Friends in one of the local bars prior to catching our bus transfer to Vientiane. Once at the bus pick up we had to wait a while in the midday sun on the airport runway of all places. One thing I have accepted is Laos time....usually an hour or so behind everyone else, but hey I'm on holiday.

After a six hour bus journey (most of which I slept) we arrived in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. The town with it's decaying french buildings is still a reminder of the former French colonial occupancy.

Found some digs and later met up with some other travellers from the previous town.
