My Travels

This is a day by day journal, so in the future I can look back and reflect on my experiences and those I have shared them with.

Myself, Patrick, and Tim set off early to trek up along side the river. The trek was through the jungle landscape often interrupted by the occasional villager going about their business. We found a local village, and we greeted by many of the children that resided there. They were so funny, they were keen to talk English so Tim taught them a few Aussie phrases. Hearing the children repeat back “gooday mate” was priceless

Once by the river, we beckoned over a local boatman to take us back to where we were staying for the equivalent of three pounds. Money well spent as we raced down the river in his powered boat.

Memorable Points: The little Loas children saying Gooday Mate. The motorboat on the river, great views
