My Travel Stories

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited:

Pakistan | Friday, July 5, 2013 | 5 photos

I am a copywriter. A teacher. A dreamer. A wanderer. A friend. And an amateur photographer!
But more than everything, I am a storyteller. I remember as a child filling up my notebooks with fairytales. Things changed as I grew up, but my undying love for storytelling remained unchanged. For my creative satisfaction, I started writing ad copies for a living. But it wasn’t until 2010 that I discovered photography as the most powerful medium for storytelling. The magical control a camera gives in your hands is the most fulfilling experience for any artist. My photography is a true reflection of my own self. It mirrors my dreams, ideas, beliefs, and outlook towards life.
In search of new and inspiring stories, I captured many wonderful faces, feelings, cultures, flavors, and marvels; the didgeridoo artists of Melbourne, the hippies of Nimbin, the 12 apostles on the great ocean road, the centuries old stupas of Taxila, mouthwatering Pesahwari tikka - just to name a few. But it was my recent trip to the conflict zone of FATA that made me want to take this hobby into a profession. And I believe this NatGeo's assignment will give me a great opportunity to master the art of photography. Or at least learn a thing or two.
