I had to rent a car to go to this beautifull national park, but it was worth! It takes about two hours from Mackay, and you can see lots of fields of sugar cane through the road before entering into the mountains and arrive in the park; I have been a couple of nights in a resort close to the main entrance to the park, a nice place with friendly people! I went to a spotlight the first night and the guide explain to usĀ  the different kinds of insect and birds of the park, even we could see a few wallabies eating in the lawn, but when they were lighted up they ran scared! I woke up at seven next morning, the best hour to see the playtopus in the river, and I could see three playtopus swimming in the river and come down to get the food from the bottom or the river; the worst of all was I had to wait in the view point for one hour; many people didn't bear and they went! The driver of the resort, Chris, left me at the begining of a walk track in the highest point and I was walking for 3 hours crossing the rainforest and coming down to the shore of the Broken river; This national park is one of the most beautifullĀ  I have seen till now! I have left the car this morning and went to the harbour to have lunch, fish and chips, and when i was waiting for a bus, josefine told me if i wanted to go with her in her car, of course! I am waiting for the bus again in the bus stop!
