Europe Escapees

Jackie and John are embarking on an adventure. Where are we now?

More non blondes

There are fewer blondes around than you´d think. I think red is uncommon as a toddler in a cafe was pointing at JOhn's and laughing in glee. he he. Stockholm is a fantastic city. It has been high 20s everday and people very happy and friendly and nearly everyone speaks English to you. It is the city of museums with over 70 but we have only been to a few. HIghlight has been Gamla stan which is the 'old town' section of Sweden. Also been to the Royal Palace, still in use, and on the water. NIghts take some getting used to. Boardering on white nights with only a couple of hours of darkness. Will add more later, so hard to type on these things!

Back again. So been to Modern Museet, and the National museet and the Vasa (boat that sank) museum. Now have museum-gallery fatigue. After Vasa we settled ourself down in a very civilised outdoor bar and paid about $78 for a bottle of Jacobs Creek 2008 vintage Rose. Ha ha ha. Oh well, only live once. Will be a cheap anniversary reminder. And if it is part of the Fosters group then we have shares in them. At least half the bar was drinking it. Planning to go to the Ice Bar later. doesn't open till 4.30 so come home for a rest. Off to Prague tomorrow.
