Lipari

Today it rained! Ok, we have to have some rain on the trip :)

We wiled away the hours reading and snoozing and then when the rain abated, we went into Lipari in this afternoon to walk the old town and have a look at the castle. Five churches and a museum (all closed like the rest of the town on Sunday, but fun to walk around.) On the way back we stopped for gelato and the rain has cleared the skies of the haze so we could see the top of Stromboli, the nearby volcano, puffing away. Tomorrow we've booked a trip to this island including a 5 hour walk to the summit and night time to see the lava flow into the ocean.
