We went to the Burmese-Thailand border at the Three Pagodas Pass

Me visiting Wat Wang Wiwekaram, which has a massive golden chedi (i.e. spire) that is visible from the guesthouse. It was erected in honour of the Abbott Pho Uttama, who represented the interests of the Mon people (displaced settlers from Burma) when a dam was constructed that flooded the Mon villages.
