I am unsure as to what first motivated me to structure my life around travel. But whatever deep-burning desire laid within pushed me to move to Canada at the age of 20. It only took the bus ride from the airport, gazing out of the window at a foreign land, to make me realise I would travel for as long and as far as possible. After 3 years living in Canada I spent 8 months backpacking around Central America and that trip inspired me to seek out even more exotic lands, thus bringing me to Asia.
I am now attempting to travel overland from Thailand to South Africa, without using any air transportation.
My love of travel and excitement has allowed me to lead a life filled with unforgettable experiences and lasting memories. I jump at the opportunity to try anything that will scare me and I possess an unquenchable thirst for adventure. Living on a shoestring has taught me to appreciate the little things in life, while backpacking around the world has educated me more than I ever could of imagined.
