I wasn't even planning on coming to Chiang Mai, but Sonya said its a must. And her wonderful parents have put me up in a guest house here. Its walking-distance from the famous Night Market, the old city area, (the train station, which, yes, I attempted to walk from last night - and would've made it but Sonya's dad thankfully met me half way with the car). It's cooler here than Bangkok, more vegetation and mountainous. There are almost as many buddhist temples here as in all of Bangkok. There supposedly are a lot of artists here as well. I hope to find some...
