While every day here in Ubud seems like a holiday, with locals dressed in traditional attire zip to and fro with baskets full of offerings going to god-knows-what celebration, TODAY was evidently different. My first clue: instead of a single offering on the sidewalk in front of each door bearing flowers, incense and a snack or two, today there were PILES, huge loads of decorative frock on the sidewalk every 3 feet or so. It made for even more of an obstacle course than normal!! When i asked the ocasion, the only answer was, "oh, it's money day". Wish i knew what that was....
but also thought it was worth sending along the blessing.

Heather your trip sounds great so far. Tell me more about the native dress people wear! Of course I'm interested in clothing.
