My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Morocco | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 5 photos

Each human life contains a purpose in this world. Photography enables my eyes in recording light sensitive matter onto emulsive film. An example of my passion for displaying unique moments in the human history is reflected in the following five images. Soon after my fathers passing, I inherited a Canon AE1 program, which jumpstarted my interest in capturing nature and society. This scholarship will fulfill my dream in envisioning a better understanding of narrative photography. As an Anthropologist, I see my art evolving into visions of untold stories. Jason, as a mentor, can release valuable insight in the NatGeo mundovision. Currently, I am transitioning from traditional film medium/large format to the digital pace. In order to master photography, every aspect in composition and exposure must be achieved. If chosen, this opportunity will not only add remarkable photos to my portfolio, but also capture culture through a digital SLR camera and lens. I will have gained first hand knowledge and experience from the world’s best photo documentary magazine and photographer, which is invaluable in our field.
Cheers,
William Fischer
