This Moroccan storyteller narrates a world full of adventures and travels through ancient oral tradition that enables the audience to escape the banality of everyday life. The propane-powered lamp illuminates the circle of young men capturing facial details well into the night.

The 11th century Djemaa el-Fna square, part of the UNESCO World Heritage, has been the crossroad of cultures as traveling men would stop to rest and buy dates, the local fruit, and meet with other voyaging men from far away villages. This location continues to be a rest point where men exchange the currents of other neighboring villages along the Atlas Mountains.

Berber construction workers finish eating a typical breakfast on a silver tray with teapot and crystal tea glasses. The (French) baguette is consumed with butter, honey, or jam and downed with the infamous “Berber Whiskey,” a strong mint tea topped with a high amount of sugar. Still a developing country, the Moroccans maintain cultural customs by eating their meals in style off of silverware instead of carbon waste.
