One week in Cuzco before Machu Picchu!

Next after the temple of gold. Just outside Cuzco. Saqsaywaman. Sounds like sexy woman. Guess what, that's what it means too in Quechua!! No, just joking. Beautiful Inca stone walls. This style is megalithic polygonal. They sanded the stones so they would fit together perfectly like a jigsaw puzzle! Amazing feat of architecture. Seriously, you can't fit a blade of grass between them they're so flush. No mortar. They've stood over 500 years despite frequent earthquakes. Stones were carried from 20km away. Other similar examples of megalithic stones are Stonehenge.
