In two days I will finally be on my way to Milan! It doesn't seem real yet, I have so much left to do, like fitting my entire life for six months into two suitcases! It's pretty much impossible....but I can't wait to be in Italy :)

Funny -- 15 years ago, in Jan 1992, I started out for Milan too, and spent six months there teaching English. It was a blast, and I still go back from time to time (in fact I was there briefly last month). What are you going to be doing there? Are you a student? I had to find an apartment pronto and ended up rooming with some Irish guy who drove me nuts, but everything else about the time I was there was terrific. Good luck.
