Well no one can say that Iowa is dull.... it is great.... big strawberry, field of dreams, bitrhplace of John Wayne... bridges of Madison county.
We also had a stop at the American Gothic house. Lorraine and I brought our own forks.... not pitch forks but little plastic take away forks we got from Dairy Queen. We tried to look as stern as possible. We had a lot of crazy fun with this besides trying to position the car just right to hold our cameras for the photo.
Muchos muchos....
Every town had tourist info. Every twon had signs telling you the attractions, the hotels the gas stations etc.
Even when there were no attractions they would put up a sign to let you know that and offer tourist services.
So welcoming....
We loved Iowa and I loved seeing the baseball field in the middle of a corn field... If you build it they will come!!!! They won't even know why.
