Vietnam

VIETNAM | Wednesday, 29 March 2006 | Views [162]

I've never been in a communist country before. I was expecting them to march me to a Gulag because they had been tipped off by a British agent that I had stolen a library book when I was 14. I've only been here a day but it doesn't feel Commie. The hotel does a nice mixed omlette for breakfast but the stop serving breakfast at 9:30am, the sly red foxes.

I went to the war museum today. They showed details of American war crimes. I know that the Vietcong weren't exactly nice to Robert de Niro but the US weren't very nice either and given what is happening in Iraq and Cuba I don't want to be on their side any more.

p.s. beer costs about 1 quid a bottle of Heineken
