The End of the Journey in BA

ARGENTINA | Thursday, 31 July 2008 | Views [155]

Before we knew it, the end of our six month trip had arrived and we found ourselves once again in Buenos Aires, the city where it all started. The season had changed from summer to late fall, all of the leaves were gone from the trees, and the ladies were wearing their winter coats and boots. We loved being back in the city; this time we stayed in Palermo Viejo near our favorite restaurant Gardelito.

The three days in BA were spent mostly enjoying runs through the park, searching for internet cafes, shopping for skinny jeans, and eating all of our favorite foods--choripan at the hole in the wall in San Telmo, ice cream nearly every day at Volta, plenty of dulce de leche, empanadas, good coffee and medialunas (crossaints), and of course, beef and red wine at Gardelito.

The time always seems to fly when you're having fun, and pretty soon we were on the flight back to the US. It's a bittersweet time, but as Ben says, on to the next adventure.

Stay tuned for one last post of our top 10 lists and final reflections.
