The Day is Here!

Hola friends! Our travel journal is finally up and running. Hope you enjoy following our adventure for the next six months.

Ben and I leave for Buenos Aires in t-minus 8 hours and there is still so much to do. Stuff is lying around everywhere. Random things we've packed: dysentery meds, a flashlight you can hand-wind, various flash sticks for all the pictures Ben will be taking on his fancy camera, and a head lamp.

Unfortunately, the weather channel is reporting thunderstorms in Hotlanta tonight, so we'll see what happens with the flights. We should be into BA by Friday morning if all goes well. I promise to post a picture of us at the BEACH as soon as humanly possible.

To our family and friends, thank you for helping us get to this day!

Adios for now. B&T

P.s. If we do not update this site on a weekly basis, please come find us (unless of course we tell you that we will be going into FARC controlled areas). Gracias!

I am sweating just thinking about it... I don't know if you could see it in the rearview, but I shed some tears on Saturday. I love you both, we love love you both. Trish, Cuidate! Ben, Cuidate! (I would have just done it once for both of you, but I can't remember the proper conjugation. Hugs and Kisses. Suite 510 will be ready for your return.

Now T-Roo stands for Travelling Roo! Just don't forget to chill with the pep misere while you are in the "global south," and remember: the Tutu is always watching you.

I don't speak Spanish or Portugese,
Crystal

PS If you come back with an awesome tan, you have to offset that by gaining 20 lbs.

Guys, be safe and take care of each other. And, of course, have a lot of fun and enjoy every moment!! I will be thinking about you at the other end of the world while waiting for the exciting update of your journey.

Love,
Meli

P.S. Cannot wait to see some pictures from the BEACH :-)

hi Ben and Trish,

Glad to hear you arrived safely. Get some rest, drink bottled water, use sun tan lotion, and have fun! We look forward to updates to the journal.

Lots of love...

P.S. Thanks for the plant. It's lovely.
