Lentejas
This recipe is the Mexican version of French “lentilles”:
Cook the lentils in boiling water with a little salt.
Aside, chop up bacon and let fry in its fat in a deep cooking pan.
Blend 2 tomatoes with an onion and some water in a blender until it makes a liquid broth. Pour onto the fried bacon and let it boil. Add the lentils and a chopped up sausage. Let it heat up to boil once more, leave to reduce to your liking.
If you like spicy food, add "salsa picante" onto your soup once in the bowl, but beware of the dosage!
