The statue is of the chemical engineer Arturo Alvarez Ramirez who trained chemical engineers “useful to society”. An integral lecturer, he is an “example for friendship”. The other is of the “emeritus lecturer” Hector Antonio Rodriguez, precursor of “engineering without frontiers”. An academics visionary and exemplary man.
