Had a very fast 3 days in Beijing! Can't even remember everything I saw.  The tour guide (who was great, btw) led us from place to place and I just followed snapping a few photos along the way.  We did go to the Great Wall which was touristy--- full of Chinese tourists, that is! That was surprising.  Actually, I have been surprised a lot. I imagined China would be more backwards, old  fashioned and dirty.  Instead, Beijing has tons of mirrored skyscrapers, 'nice' cars and American fast food . . .at times it seems more American than the U.S.   The similarities seem to outweigh the differences.
