kiting, diving, trippin'

Landed a job in China for a few years. Away from the capital and out in the real China. Plenty of time to have a look around a country that has a heap to see.

No wind - Ko Tao

THAILAND | Thursday, 27 October 2005 | Views [283]

There is a pom, a canadian and an aussie sitting in a bar talking away until 4 this morning.Started off as a joke.............

Still not blowing in Chumphon so I got on the ferry to Ko Tao to see what it is like on the islands. Very diving orientated and overcrowded. Much like a mini Bangkok without the tuk tuks. Everything you need is here except power in some areas for most of the day. Plenty of shopping etc. and must be 40 -50 dive shops. Got myself booked to dive Chumphon Pinnacle in the morning then a second dive on the way back in. Depending on the first dive we might dive the same spot, it is well known for sharks and rays and sometimes whale sharks as well. Apparently there were at least 4 sharks on it this morning so hopefully they hang around tonight.

Off to have a beer and an early night, hard life this holidaying, and do it all again tomorrow.

cheers

gary
