kiting, diving, trippin'

Landed a job in China for a few years. Away from the capital and out in the real China. Plenty of time to have a look around a country that has a heap to see.

Rain in Hua Hin

THAILAND | Monday, 24 October 2005 | Views [243]

When it rains in this place it doen't go by halves. Thipurai is now like Venice.......... and the people still smile. This isn't a setback, it's entertainment, watching farang struggle with there holiday being disrupted like this.

Might have to wait 'til tomorrow to go to monkey mountain now I think, a very old man has just said that it will probably rain all day now, it has just gone 11 am.

Glad we did the elephant ride yesterday, wouldn't want one of those big bastards slipping over on the side of that hill. Especially with the "safety belt" (3/8' rope across in front of the passengers, tied off with a very wild looking knot) to make sure you can't kick free in a hurry.
