kiting, diving, trippin'

Landed a job in China for a few years. Away from the capital and out in the real China. Plenty of time to have a look around a country that has a heap to see.

The statue tells the story of a Turk who waved a white flag to stop the fighting. Both sides had resumed fighting after stopping to collect and bury their dead. He got out his trench to pick up a wounded Anzac laying between the trenches and carried him to the Anzac side to get aid. The story was told a few times over the course of the day along with other lighter moments.
