Winnipeg

Portage and Main - allegedly the windiest corner. It was a little breezy.
Winnipeg is a great jumping off point to other locations - that is the most exciting thing in it's favour. It's an okay kind of place, but I'm having trouble getting especially enthusiastic about it.
Winnipeg claims to have the windiest corner in Canada, and I still have no idea where I heard that snippet of information. It may have been a lie. I went to the famed corner (Portage and Main) and while terribly interesting, there was no plaque to commend the windiness of the place.
My favourite place in Winnipeg is the public library - it is brilliant. I walked up and down the stairs a couple of times to take in the fabulousness of it all.
