OUr hostel manager in kauai was a sort of born again spiritual nutty guy. Changed his named from Mike to Mikiki... uh huh. He had quite a few rules to keep his way of life circulating around the hostel.... which made it kind of boring, but peaceful at best. I had this painfull feeling ..my skin was hot... it turns out i got sunburnt, it IS possible after all! We did to excellent hikes.... one in the waimea canyon for six miles. and the other at Na'pali coast for four. I have so many mosquito and other bites i feel like I have the chicken pocks.....but well worth it! We met a great canadian guy, Pasco, who joined us for a night out to shipwrecks beach... where they refused to serve me liquor even w/my id. I got some great photos of the beach that I will upload soon... I promise. We just landed in Fiji and are about to book our island tour... I already have some interesting things to say about this place. For example our flight was delayed for 13 hours and they put us up in a hotel in oahu... which we didnt mind too much as we have no time restraints and we welcome the chance to sleep in a private room w/acomfy bed..... Jaymie and I got our own rooms... it was sweet. Post back soon!

I told Mic to tell you that the most important item to take with you on a world trip was bug spray!!! I guess he forgot to tell you. Keep it with you at all times. Have a great time in Fiji and becareful of the bugs, they can get pretty big down there.

Aysha!! That is so funny about your clubbing experience. You must have been so mad at the time, but these are the things you will look back on later and laugh about. I'm impressed you guys hiked for so long. It sounds amazing. Love you girls!
