We headed back to the same hostel and even got the same room and even had Marco as a roomie again. He told me he had to go to the chemist (pharmacy) to get special eye drops... On our last night the first time around we straightened his hair... apparently he got an eye infection from it poking him in the eye all night. so funny. There was a knock at the door in our room and it was Lindsay saying we all had to head out that night... and then it begins. She leaves and I'm starting to get acquainted w/the new roomie and another knock... it's Ben (hat owner) It was pure comedy. I tried shutting the door he broke in and attacked me... took his hat and ran off. Oh how there are soo many jokes about leaving your prized posessions around me etc etc. He enjoyed the pictures though, I think. We had a fantastic night Steve was back in his element with the guys I think. It was The other two American boys last night so we were out until about 4. The next day we did a group dinner at a Curry house. It was such a great time. Everyone went out again we even ran into Veno, he was on something. That boy was bouncing off the walls. I was in early... about 1.
Off to Christchurch... We were sad to part ways yet again w/so many people. This place was interesting. There was a street performer in the bar... we had a joke contest a rock paper scissors tourny and I took Steve and Steph took John down in a tekken 3 challenge. There was a band called sweet as that played covers all night. The singer was amazing, if only he got rid of the mullet.
Kraikora was next. Haunted hotel number two... the Adelphi. We saw quite a few seals and pups it was really cool. It was a rainy day so we decided to do movies and hot cocoa. I met two sweet youngins from DC, sisters. We decided to split some wine and chocolate and play card. A great night. I really wanted to put on a scary movie, but the majority was against me. A guy from liverpool, Pete, joined the bus and we decided to do a thai dinner together. It was excellent.... I'm really getting good at cooking... and on a budget... no top ramen and pb &j for me.
We caught our ferry back up to north island. The weather here was pretty good. In Wellington there was a toga party that night at the hostel, but we didn't dress up. We headed down to play pool and then in rushed Veno and his friends... disappointed in us. Two hours later and a few drinks Vicky decides we have to toga. The best part was trying to wrap sheet around the drunky's, but we made it happen. Veno bought us a round of shots as a thank you and we were partying toga style.
We headed to Auckland the next morning.... the mood/energy shifted. We knew it was ending soon. I was really considering just staying for the two months I was supposed to be in Oz... I really wasn't ready to leave, but I did want to see the rest of the world and I can always go back (my comfort). We took the first night off...easy. The second night I headed out w/Vicky and Steve and a couple of their friends. It was good fun. The last night we headed out for a group meal. Father Ted's for roast dinner. I met a couple of my roomies that morning and invited them along... two boys from liverpool and also some friend we made in fiji that were living in Auckland or passing through. Everyone showed up surprisingly and we had a great night. Jay wen to bed early (midnight) and I stayed out with the roomies.. we headed to The Fat Camle and chatted w/the travellers there. We played a game if we could guess the nationality of people... it sounds bad I know, but it was a dead night and we were drinking. A girl called us shallow then started to play and a kiwi joined in and was having the best time... we ended up awake until 5 am. It turns out we were all getting on the same flight to Aus the next day. Sweet as.
Tis all for now.. Sorry if it's a lot of blah blah... just trying to remember it all. In Sydney now and surely something exciting will happen soon.
