Mount Roraima: a Mystified Hiking Experience

Venezuela | Saturday, July 6, 2013 | 5 photos

“A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving.” – Lao Tzu

I grew up in Venezuela and ever since I did an exchange student program in France I’ve been interested in traveling and learning about the world. I’ve had issues of National Geographic with me all along, dreaming about all the faraway places in the world where cultures so different from mine exist. My longtime fascination with photography and travel is what drives me to pursue a life that can combine my passions.

While studying architecture I began to take pictures. First as a hobby; then, photography and traveling became more important than anything else. Any excuse would be enough to go from Caracas. I lived in Germany, Colombia and spent months traveling on my own in South America and India. Now, after six years, I decided to quit my job and do what I love: travel the world and be part of it with my camera.

When I read about the scholarship to Greenland with Jason Edwards, I thought I am well suited. Adaptability and positive attitude describe me; life does not offer one direction, I consider myself a multidisciplinary person willing to explore several roads.
